A Brief Recap of Ben Roethlisberger's Legendary Sports Career

Go up to a random person and just say the name “Ben Roethlisberger” and they immediately know that you’re talking about a true sports legend. However, many people don’t understand just how much of a football titan Ben was. While Ben Roethlisberger made his mark on the NFL as the quarterback of the Pittsburg Stealers, he was smashing records and leaving a legacy long before that.

High School

In high school, Ben Roethlisberger played basketball, baseball, and football. Naturally, he excelled at all three and was the captain of all his teams. Even so, football was his calling and he was already breaking records and winning championships like a true warrior of the field.

Knowing that football was his destiny, Ben Roethlisberger pursued it in college as well, making it his primary focus. Not surprisingly he immediately broke pretty much all of his college’s passing records and established himself as one of the best players in the league. This would catch the eye of many NFL recruiters.

NFL

As a surprise to no one, Ben would be drafted in the first round of the NFL draft. He was picked up by the Pittsburg Stealers and would once again begin breaking records the moment he set foot on the field. This time, however, Ben would show what a true legend he was by leading the Pittsburgh Steelers to two Superbowl victories and four AFC victories. However, this was just the beginning of what he would do for humanity.

Charity

With a legendary NFL career behind him, Big Ben turned his attention to serving his fellow man. To do this, he has partnered with charities like the Light of Life Rescue Mission and the Neolight organization. Additionally, he also created his charity called the Roethlisberger Family Foundation which helps people to build stronger families. In performing these charitable acts, Ben has shown himself to have the soul of a true hero.
