Alliance Defending Freedom Focuses on the Law

It has been nearly thirty years since the foundation of the Alliance Defending Freedom. This is a group of Christian leaders who have banded together to stop attacks on the religion. While many do not see this as a priority, the fact is that religious freedom is at the heart of American culture. The Alliance is here to remind people of this.

The Alliance Defending Freedom has defended the rights of Christians all over the country. It has also defended Jews, Shia Muslims, Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and others. Religious freedom is something that ought to belong to all peoples. Many people seem to think otherwise, thus necessitating the formation of a strong advocate group.

In 1998, ADF launched the Center for Faith and Cultural Engagement (CFCE). CFCE works with faith-based organizations, churches, and ministries to defend religious liberty while retaining their integrity and independence as ministries.

Since the formation of the Alliance Defending Freedom, a number of legal challenges have been met. These have included defending free speech and the rights of women and children. The sanctity of life is an issue that is equally worth preserving in tandem with religious rights. An equal defense of parents and children is our intention.

It should be noted that the Alliance Defending Freedom also has a presence outside of the U.S. We have worked to defend the rights of foreign Christians. We have also worked to stop the ongoing genocide against groups such as the Yazidis, Shia Muslims, and others. We are here to protect the rights of religious minorities as well as freedom of speech.

The work of the Alliance Defending Freedom is ongoing. This is a task whose completion is many years ahead of us. Religious freedom is an issue that no one can afford to sleep on. The time to get involved and do our part to uphold the sacred freedoms that are guaranteed by the Constitution is now. This is the role that the Alliance was formed to play on its behalf.
