They source their ingredients both domestically and internationally. It sources organic produce from local family farms and wild-harvested seaweed from the shores of Ireland, Hawaii and Japan. They also make use of fair-trade organic cocoa sourced from the Dominican Republic. It is known worldwide for their delicious health foods, but they have also found success in the marketplace by being socially conscious with their business decisions. The company works hard to minimize its environmental impact by using eco-friendly packaging, solar energy, recycling and composting all products they can’t reuse or recycle.

In early 2015, Amy’s Kitchen opened a second plant in the USA. This plant can produce 33,000 meals daily, so it will be able to meet more demand for those families living outside of the Seattle area. The new facility is located in White Hall, Arkansas, about two hours from Fayetteville. It is operated by 16 employees who enjoy working with plants because they are fresh and healthy. The new facility has a unique feature that allows them to better serve the local population by producing vegan pet food for Karmelk (with plans to expand into other pet-related products like shampoo).

In late 2016 Amy’s Kitchen announced that they would open a third plant in Seattle. They are now in the building process of this facility and aim to begin production by the summer of 2017. This plant will have a capacity of 30,000 meals daily, making it one of the most famous restaurants in the Pacific Northwest when it opens.

It is a great way to enjoy delicious vegan meals at home. They also offer catering for parties, weddings and events, meal delivery and prepared foods for sale in retail stores. It can also be purchased in over 10,000 stores nationwide, including Whole Foods Market, Kroger, and Safeway.
