Anilesh Ahuja is focusing the next chapter of his career on eco-friendly real estate after leaving his Wall Street days behind him. Ahuja decided to get into real estate when he moved back to India as he longed to build a place that he could identify with and call home. He never felt at home living in the United States, and in India, he longed for his homeland and a place where he felt like he belonged among his own people again. In the end, this led Ahuja to create his 200-acre township project called Solitaire Valley, which he claims is what he dreamed home should be like.
Anilesh Ahuja integrated many eco-friendly designs into his new community, including 56% of space in the community being dedicated to “green space” for people to enjoy. The “vertical inversion” concept of building taller buildings leaves more land for people to enjoy in the surrounding township and community. Many people can walk throughout the community rather than needing cars that further pollute the environment. There are a variety of price points for homes so that everyone can afford to live in a community where they feel like they can both thrive and belong within the community.
Using what was learned about investing on Wall Street is made Ajuha successful when he came home to India to start his real estate investment projects. These projects also foster a sense of community, and allow everyone to be able to afford like they deserve and can afford to be part of a community such as this one.
