Randy Douthit’s passion for TV shows started when he was four years old. At nine years old, he was already selling tickets for his ‘variety show.’ His professional career began at the age of 23 when he became a director at Portland’s KGW.

He then directed ‘How Come,’ an award-winning children’s program. Later he hosted a daily morning talk show, attracting a massive number of audiences. His next job role was at CNN, where he was the executive director and producer of ‘crossfire.’ He also hosted a weekly program called ‘Capital Gang.’ Both of his shows won the CableAce Awards.

If there is one show that Randy Douthit is always proud of is the ‘Judge Judy.’ The show has won the Emmy Awards three times. In addition to his directing and executive work ‘Judy Justice’ and ‘Judge Judy,’ he supervises the development of Queen Bee Productions.

Randy starts his typical day with a workout to prepare for his busy schedule. He then prepares for upcoming studio production, edits existing shows, and reads proposed cases. To ensure that his ideas work, Randy concentrates on the needs of his audiences. He then focuses on creating programs to fulfil it.

According to Randy, if you want to grow your business, look for a need and then pursue a way to fill that need. Also, get along with people and do the best you can to achieve your goals. If you fail in a project, quickly look for another one. Don’t stick to failure.

He also recommends meditation as a way of generating new ideas. Ensure you meditate alone every morning in a quiet space. You can start with 5 minutes a day and then advance to 15 minutes. As you meditate, your mind will open up room for new creative ideas.
