Women in sports broadcasting have come far over the past few decades. There are now many more female sports journalists covering the games and reporting on them for various outlets.

Rachel Nichols is a former reporter at CNN and Turner Sports. She has worked with some of the biggest names in the sports world, including Larry King, Bob Costas, and Magic Johnson. Nichols has also been a reporter for ESPN and a sideline reporter for ESPN2 during the NBA Playoffs.

Nichols is currently working as an analyst for TNT’s NBA coverage. Nichols moved on to the Washington Post. She then went on to work for ESPN as a studio analyst for college football games. Nichols also worked as an NBA sideline reporter for ESPN2 during the 2010 NBA Playoffs.

Rachel Nichols is one of very few female sports journalists in her field, which is great because there aren’t that many of us. But with more women in sports journalism, we hope to see more women following in her footsteps and becoming great sports journalists themselves.
