Barry Lall, President And Chief Executive Officer

Dr Bharat Lall has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Bar Association and was Chair from 2011 to 2013.

He served as Chair of the Board’s Human Rights Committee from 2005 to 2009 and as the organization’s first Non-Mandatory Advisory Council from 2009 to 2011. He has also served on the Board’s Standing Committee on Professionalism and Ethics, Aboriginal Affairs, Law Reform and Canadian Pro Bono.

Finally, he was named chair of the Canadian Bar Association’s National Advisory Committee for Pro Bono programs and was the recipient of its National Pro Bono Leadership Award in 2011.

In addition to his work at White & Case, Dr. Lall is also an adjunct professor at McGill University, where he teaches in the areas of Corporate & Securities Law and Law Reform. He was an Adjunct Professor at Harvard Law School for 20 years prior to joining White & Case.

Lall lives in Ottawa with his wife, Nancy. He has two sons, Ash and Shayne Lall-Dion.

He is also a Distinguished Fellow at the Trudeau Foundation and a Senior Fellow at the Munk School of Global Affairs.
