Kelcy Warren is the CEO and president of Energy Transfer Partners, one of the largest pipeline construction companies in North America.

The project was stopped by Afghan President Hamid Karzai because he said, “it would be better to die than to have this project.” The Afghan Parliament also put a moratorium on the construction of the pipeline and some Afghan leaders say the $3 billion deal is corrupt, and that it only benefits America and not Afghanistan. The Taliban, who had been previously receiving payments from the Taliban, stopped their compensation for allowing ETP’s proposed pipeline across Afghanistan to be built for USD $3-4 million per day.
